RITUAL TO RELEASE RESENTMENT:
One of the ways we can begin to release resentment is through ritual — a small ceremony to give tangible form to our emotions. Here’s one practice I invite you to try if you feel ready to let go of resentment:
Take a quiet moment for yourself, sit comfortably, and connect with the emotions you're holding. Perhaps there is anger, perhaps there is sadness, but most likely, there is resentment.
Write down everything you're feeling. Pour your heart out on the paper. Let all your emotions flow onto the page, leaving nothing unsaid.
Once you've written it all down, take a deep breath. Look at what you've written, acknowledging your pain and hurt.
When you're ready, safely burn the paper. As the flames consume the words, visualize the resentment being released from your heart. Feel the burden lightening as you let go.
Close your ceremony by wishing the person or situation that caused you pain well. This is not for their benefit — it’s for yours. You are releasing the grip, setting yourself free.
